Growmatics builds autonomous drones from the frame up. The mechanical design, the flight software, the autonomy that lets one fly on its own, and the cloud and apps behind a fleet. We do the whole stack, and we take on parts of it for other teams.
This is the first of these notes. It says plainly what we do and how to work with us.
What we build
We work across the full drone stack, not one slice of it.
- Airframes. Parametric, 3D-printed frames designed around the payload and the mission, with the print pipeline and the parts list that go with them.
- Flight software and firmware. Configuration and modification on the open-source flight stacks, mainly ArduPilot on Pixhawk-class controllers, over MAVLink and MAVSDK. Custom failsafes, geofencing, and flight modes, tested in simulation before anything leaves the ground.
- Autonomy and AI. Onboard vision and navigation that works without GPS, marker-based localization, and edge AI for perception. A companion computer runs the parts that the flight controller should not.
- Cloud and apps. Image and data ingest, storage and analysis pipelines, secure fleet control with per-device identity, and native dashboards to watch a fleet and send it commands.
Every layer of that is something we have built and flown for our own drone, so the experience is real, not a slide.
How we work
Engagements are scoped to the work, not sold as a fixed package. That can be a single firmware modification, a custom airframe for a payload you already have, an autonomy feature, or a full system from the frame to the cloud. We pick the right open-source tools for the job and keep the output portable, so you are never locked to us.
If it flies and it needs to be designed, programmed, or made autonomous, it is in our wing.
